D-M2 Trading started as a retail store under the name Matheson Commercial in August 1986. The owner, Mr. Anson Dy, was forced to start his own business in order to raise his family. The company’s operations initially involved the retail of electronic parts and accessories. This continued on for six years.

GROWTH AND EXPANSION

With the increase in competition and onset of new products in the electronics market, the company decided to expand its business by manufacturing transformers under the brand name “Tamagawa” in 1992. D-M2 Trading also started wholesaling its products to electronics retail stores in Metro Manila.
Come 1996, the building where the company was located was leased by the landlord to a local bank. Thus, ending the contract of the building’s tenants. The company had no choice but to look for a new location to conduct its business. Finally, on August 12, 1996, the company resumed operations at its new location under the new business name “D-M2 Trading”.


SUSTAINED DEVELOPMENT
For more than 20 years now, the company has been actively engaging in the wholesale of electronic parts and accessories not only in Metro Manila, but the entire Philippines. Through its aggressiveness to provide quality products while maintaining a competitive price point, the company now directly imports products from other countries. The company is now a leading supplier in different provinces in the country, specifically Davao, Cebu, Naga, and Cagayan de Oro. It also manufactures transformers for companies such as Meiji Electric Philippines, Inc. under the brand name Meiji, and UEM Industrial Corporation under the brand name Mega.

With the rapid improvement of technology, the company is now opening its doors to the online market.
